According to some scientists, the world may completely run out of helium gas within 30 years. With decreasing availability of helium, the prices are accordingly increasing. Helium is a byproduct of natural gas and it is a non-renewable resource. When the gas is released into the air, it is impossible to recover. In contrast, hydrogen is readily available via the electrolysis of water or through high-pressure gas tanks.
For these reasons, many chromatographers are switching to hydrogen. Helium and hydrogen are both very efficient gases for GC and it is possible to switch from one to another with no drawbacks. Moreover, within the scientific community, there is a broad consensus that hydrogen is the best carrier gas for capillary GC applications.

The nitrogen Generator Series produce high grade nitrogen for most of the laboratory applications and equipments. Designed with safety and convenience in mind, this system generates purified nitrogen, eliminating the need for inconvenient cumbersome high-pressure gas cylinders.
The DANI Nitrogen Generator removes oxygen from air less than 10ppm and HC pollutants to less than 0.1ppm (if the optional scrubber is installed).
