It is highly crucial that the food must be protected by packaging material which is safe, cost-effective and non-toxic. Solvents used in packaging may retain small amounts of solvents in the final package. When measured and controlled, this is not a problem. However, excess solvent-retention will cause the package to have an odor and can spoil the taste od food products .
